To mention more about the Turkish characteristics i feel responsible to add common negative characteristics as well as positives. For this aspect i can say Turkish people's most frequent habits are drinking and smoking so much. Recent surveys suggested that drinking and smoking are closely related, and finally people with children tend to drink and smoke more.
And say more about Turkish people's habits , we always remove our shoes before we entering house this has a good and simple explanation , our obsession with cleanliness! We don't want to bring all the dirt from streets to our homes .
Even though British people are well known for their excellent tea drinks , in Turkey we have tea and coffee bars and in these bars, people doing nothing but staying long hours and chatting and drinking tea. A typical Turk drinks approximately 10 glasses of black tea per day. Black tea is the most popular drink in Turkey.
Finally Turkish people love kissing each other .Turkish men greet by kissing each other in their faces. This is a normal thing to see in Turkey. Man kisses man, woman kisses woman and woman kisses man in both cheeks every time they meet .
